why don’t we politically try for socialized dental care too if we are gonna have free national health care?

some dental problems could be very life threatening like an abscess.
Also dental care could be very expensive, like 3000 for a root canal.

There are several types of subsidized dental care systems in various European countries, for example. If you are really interested, you can look up the different programs, by country, and see the type of government programs, private programs, varying insurance coverage plans and combinations thereof. We could evaluate those programs to see what aspects might work well here since many people here have no dental coverage.

if Obamacare passes. People on Medicaid only get eye and dental until the age of 21 I think, so we know the feds don’t consider eye and dental care necessary for adults.
I have a job, thank you. Two of them, in fact and I pay for my own insurance, including dental and eye care.

You will have no where else to go… no insurance company or policy you can switch to…

I had Medi-cal for my Dental coverage. I have some teeth that are hurting me really bad. Now to the point that it’s causing me to have an ear ache. Since Medi-cal no longer covers dental, can someone tell me how I can get free or low cost dental care?

You can contact your local Health Department.
You can also try a dental school if one is within your area, or you can also find a dentist that offers sliding scale fees.

How do you get dental care without sedation or, in some cases, general anesthesia? Try doing dental exam on a profoundly or severely autistic adult who is punching themselves in the head. Or jumping out of seat and grabbing dental instruments. Or biting dentist. Or screaming and kicking. Welcome to the world of severe to profound autism with behavioral challenges. Accomodations. Adults with classic autism. Another educational video for autism awareness. This population needs dental care. Imagine being non verbal. They can’t tell us if they have tooth pain. You can’t detect cavity unless they’re sedated. You can’t do dental work unless they’re sedated. So, you have to do everything in the same day.

Where/how in Virginia can I get free dental care?

Have lost just about everything in a divorce and my teeth are in great need of lots of work. I make just enough to feed myself, and absolutely cannot pay a dentist. Is there any program in Virginia that I can get into for dental care?

check out the universitys see if they have a dental school. My wife goes to one .

Almost every community has free dental clinics or programs that dentists provide pro bono services. You might want to call your state dental society and they might be able to give you more information as to what may be available for you. Good luck.

We live in Norhwest Ohio,and my 21 year old son has really bad teeth and needs dentures.However, he does not have insurance through his job and can’t afford to pay for them himself.I am really worried about the health affects from his teeth.So, does anyone in Ohio know of free or low cost dental care or any organizations that can help pay?

Check with local colleges. If there is a dental program, they might be able to get him in, little to no cost. Usually long waits though, if he can wait.
