Is there a free service on the net, that anyone can recommend me, that offer free full dental care services?

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

I have a lot of cavities, gingivitis and other teeth deceases that need urgent care from a professional dentist. I’m unemployed and don not have a couple of thousands of dollars to spare to the dentist. Help!!, any suggestions on where I can find all that on the internet?

You should apply for medical assistance at your county’s human services department. With MA your medical and dental will be free and your co-pay will be $0 to $3 a visit. You can get MA without having to get cash and food support. If you are denied MA, keep your denial letter. Most places have a sliding-fee that requires a MA denial letter before they will give you huge discounts. I’m a part-time worker that doesn’t qualify for employee benefits but makes too much for MA. There are ways to make health care affordable. You’ll have to fill-out a bunch of paperwork but its worth it. You should search on the internet for MA in your county and sliding-fee clinics in your area. I hope this helps?

free dental services in miami florida?

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

i heard that in jackson memeorial hospital provides discounted or free dental services, if anyone know where i would go to check it out so i dont search in vain. i do not have insurance and i really need to get some serious dental work done but dont have the money to pay out of pocket.

call the financial aid office or social work office or go to the dental clinic and talk with the clerk. Sometimes dental clinics are located off site of the hospital. I haven’t been there in awhile since I worked the ED in 1981.

dental services. The national cost C in billions of dollars for dental?

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

dental services. The national cost C in billions of dollars for dental services can be modeled by the linear equation C=2.85n + 30.52 where n is the # of years since 1990
a. find and interpret the C intercept for the line
b find and interpret the n intercept for the line
c. graph the line for n ranging from 0 through 20
if this trend continus, then in what year will the cost of dental services reach 100 billion?

a) The C intercept would "look like" the y-intercept in a normal linear equation. It is also the value when n = 0. In 1990, the cost (C) for medical service was the C – intercept, 30.52 billion.

b) The n intercept (similar to x) is the year before 1990 when C = 0, or national Cost for dental care was zero. Set C = 0:
0 = 2.85n + 30.52
-30.52 = 2.85n
divide both sides by 2.85:

C = 0, n = -10.7

When national Cost for dental care was zero, the year was 1990 – 10.7 = March of 1979

c)100 = 2.85n + 30.52
69.40 = 2.85n
24.4 = n

1990 + 24.4 = 2014.4

Autism and dental care

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Despite how difficult it may seem to have a child with autism sit for a period of time in a dental chair, it is possible!!! With persistence, patience, understanding and most of all repetition, these children can accomplish a visit to the hygienist. Social stories, PECS, rewards are all important pre-cursors to accomplish such a task. If this goal is accomplished it avoids another trip yet under general anesthesia. Should you require any further information or a consultation, do not hesitate to call Simcoe Dental Hygiene Services at (705) 719-0270 for further programming info.
