How much does dental treatment cost in the UK?

I need to have two cavities fixed on two molars, but I am scared to go because I heard it will be very expensive. Does anyone know how much exactly for two fillings? I live in Scotland.

Through NHS dentists it’s about £45 for one filling. Private dentists would be more but who knows how much more?!

The staff made me feel very comfortable, it was a remarkable experience and the dentist was excellent and I completely trust him. He was very detailed and informative and the staff was lovely. The city was nice and the accommodation and just about everything was perfect.

How much would you expect to pay for private dental treatment?

Does £600 for a ceramic inlay sound about right? The price includes polishing xrays and check ups etc?

600 quid for an inlay sounds about the going rate. I paid 700 for a double root canal and was quoted another 900 for the crown needed afterwards. I finally got the crown done in Spain for about 300. Dentists in Marbella advertise that from the UK you can save more than the air fare by getting treatment with them. They would have been cheaper than London but I found cheaper still and a very sensitive dentist to do the work.

I havent been the dentist in about 7 years. I have been gettin toothache lately and need to go dentist. I have one tooth at back of mouth that has a chip out of it and another that is broken. Also have tooth that just needs root comin out. Never paid for dental treatment before so not sure how much this is goin to set me back???? Would it be cheaper for me 2 join a dental plan and if so how does this work. How many months do i have 2 pay before can get treatment etc

Hi..am considering going to Budapest for dental treatment. I need crowns and bleaching. I went to London for a consultation and got a quote for £3300 for 6 crowns, 2 fillings and bleaching of lower teeth. I’m just wondering if anyone is familiar with this clinic as I’ve heard differing reviews…any help greatly appreciated..thank you!

Is this considered preventative dental treatment?

I’ve worn away some gum at the base of several teeth from brushing too hard; they’re kind of deep so my dentist wants to fill them. He said I could have problems from the blood vessels constricting. So is this considered a preventative service? I’m asking b/c I don’t have dental insurance but if I get it, preventative services don’t have a waiting period. Thanks.

Nope. Fillings are a basic service. Only x-rays, exams, cleanings, sealants are considered preventative. These are services meant to prevent fillings from needing to be done.
