How much does dental treatment cost in the UK?

I need to have two cavities fixed on two molars, but I am scared to go because I heard it will be very expensive. Does anyone know how much exactly for two fillings? I live in Scotland.

Through NHS dentists it’s about £45 for one filling. Private dentists would be more but who knows how much more?!

  3. As far as I know a standard appointment is about £10, for the cavity fillings, I’d say probably about £40 each.

The Scottish and English Nhs Dental Charges are different so you would NOT pay the same Fee’s as people in London do as Scotland still works under the old system which was revised in England on April 1st 2006.
In Scotland Examinations by an NHS Dentist are Free, you would then pay 80% of the cost of any treatment needed up to the value of £384, this is the highest amount you would pay on the NHS in scotland.
it might be worth making an appointment with your dentist and then He/She would be able to tell you exactly how much you would pay, Do Not go by what we pay in England as our prices and your prices are 2 very different things.
