Would it be a good idea to alternate my dental treatment between two different dentists?

I have always felt dread going to the dentist, but I am over-due for a visit.( I have alot that needs to be done). I would like to get this treatment over and done with as quickly as possible. To reduce the time between appointments with a busy dentist, I thought having two dentists treating me (alternating between visits) would get my treatment done quicker.( Perhaps one can work on my upper teeth and the other, the lower teeth).. Has anyone ever tried this before? If so, how did it work out?

It is always best to be treated by only one dentist unless you are seeing a specialist for something. I strongly suggest sticking with the one you like and trust the most.

  2. if you have the extra money then its fine, my sister did it and she had problems with the cash and payments so i would just schedule an appointment and whenever it happens it happens! :)

  3. If they are in the same practice then its ok since they both have easy access to all your records. You may need to give consent for them to discuss your treatment options when you are not present.

I’ve been going to the same dental clinic for the last 30 years and have recieved treatment by all the dentist that have worked there.
