http://www.waterpik.com/oral-health-products/

This video, originally produced for dental professionals, shows you how Waterpik® Dental Water Jets work and why they are more effective and easier to use than dental floss.

Also included in the video are the results of a breakthrough plaque removal study recently conducted at the University of Southern California. In the study, Waterpik® dental water jets removed 99.9% of plaque biofilm from teeth with a three-second application. http://www.waterpik.com/oral-health/clinically-proven.html

    hey tictoe… …
hey tictoe…Bleeding and irritation is normal for begining use, especially with braces. The same thing happened to me. Your gums are not used to the water pressure and it will take a little time for them to get used to the waterpik. My suggestion is to use it every other day on the lowest setting and then gradually increase the power. That’s what I did and now my gums no longer bleed..

My Waterpik has been a lifesaver for cleaning my brace-laden teeth. There just isn’t any other way to do it. Being a truck driver, I have the cordless unit so I can blast my teeth any time I need to. Greatest thing since sliced bread!

  14. It really does work …
It really does work & fights bad breath. I’m getting braces soon so, I’m glad I found this at my local Kroger. I had something caught in my wisdom tooth that I had been unable to get out with any other method. It was litteraly making me sick (poo breath). The 1st use got rid of what ever that was that crawled in my tooth and died. No more poo breath! 2 days of that and I was looking for something to fix it and if this hadden’t worked I would have crashed my local dentist office tomorrow morning.

Only your dental professional can answer that for you based on your particularly oral health situation. Your tissue may be naturally darker – but healthy, or they could appear dark due to inflammation. Your dentist and hygienist can best assess your situation and give you the right recommendation.”

  23. I once had …
I once had periodontal (gum) disease. To the point that my dentist said if something is not done he will send me to a gum surgeon to fix the damage. I then did some deep thinking and went shopping for some dental appliance that would fix it for me. I came across the Water Pik. I’ve been through two now. I never have cavities now. Using at least once a week my gums feel great and I don’t have that awful breath anymore. I’ve gotten several family members to use one now too. Just get them to try it
